Feeling lost? Do you have a plan, but it seems useless since you can’t seem to stick with it? Overwhelmed and disappointed? It happens, but when it does don’t beat yourself up . . . that gets you nowhere! Instead, take a moment to remind yourself of your goals. Then pick a goal and decide what the next step is to progress that goal. Then just focus on that one thing. When you get that item done, move to the next step and so on.
You may be feeling helpless. Just try it. I recently ran into a wall. I have so many things I want to do! Yet, I have a tendency to plan and formulate my strategies too much, which then creates doubt and fear. There is a fine line when it comes to creating an action plan for your goals. If you cross it, you’ll find that the details can complicate things to the point of losing your best intentions to a black hole.
To get back on track, I had to step back and reacquaint myself with the big picture. I directed my attention to the big rocks and took a few small steps that would draw me closer to achieving them. It took hardly any time before I was moving on my journey and without a lot of effort. Now that I have momentum again, I’ll give myself a little more time to progress and then I’ll revisit my plan and mark off anything I have completed.
The key is not to be super human, but to move forward with intention. When details run your life, refocus and be deliberate. Your path awaits. ~Angie
